X-108 Info HELP with attempted firmware update (1 Viewer)

My CS108G+ serial # 1XXXX was disconnecting from HRD so I thought reloading the firmware would help
Every attempt goes as the instructions say, deleting the existing bin file and dragging the new file to rhe drive, but when I power down and back upo I am greeted with a blaxk screen.
I am assuming "reset your 108" means powering down and up?

The firmware I am trying to use is X108G_OLED_FW_V.100_ build024.xfg.

The radio was working except for the disconnect issue, it was the version with the SWR and bandscope and originally had V1.00.4 10030 dated 6/13/2017

Well I already saw that post and those firmware downloads but they indicate the X108 and not the CS108, According to CS systems the firmware are NOT compatible. I tried one of the files that was supposed to be the correct serial number range and it didn't work.

I obtained the correct firmware from the vendor
everything is OK thanks to all

just an FYI if you purchase a connect systems 108 its a special unit

hallo ich hab ein problem mit mein x108g ich hab eine firmware drauf und nun geht das geraet an aber es kommt kein ton sonst funktionert alles kennt jemammand das problem gruss 73

Got a question. Can you simply copy the file from the radio to the hard drive as a backup. I flattened the firmware on the radio and the file I have to download doesn't want to work. Its an outdoor unit Serial number beginning with a 11

I'm also looking for the 'special' firmware for the CS108G+. It amazes me that there is next to nothing on the web that I can find. It's like the radio doesn't exist, lol. It's not even on the Connect Systems website anymore, which is pretty sad. :-(

As an update to my search, I contacted Connect Systems support with a firmware request as others had in the past. They in turn contacted someone in China whom I'm guessing is Xiegu support and that person sent a firmware file which was forwarded to me by CS.

The file was named X108G_OLED_FW_V2.00.0_build012, which I believe is just a stock X108G firmware like others I've seen floating around here on the forums.

To make a long story short, the firmware didn't work for me. It seems that Connect Systems no longer has any archived firmware for the CS108G+ on their systems. From what I can tell, I don't think that Xiegu does either because they sent what I believe is just a stock X108G firmware. Others here in the forums have mentioned that stock firmwares didn't work on their CS108G+ and that the radio for some reason requires the special Connect Systems firmware. I'm inclined to believe that claim, since I have yet to get this radio running using any of the regular X108 firmwares that I've tried so far.

Hopefully someone somewhere still has a copy and will post it eventually, but until then this radio is a brick. :-(

EDIT: I'm attaching the firmware that was sent to my by Xiegu via Connect Systems customer support. It's possible that my radio has other issues preventing a proper update, so I want to at least provide the file in case it will work for someone else.
